About Daniel Speck and ComingOne.com
This website and its articles are authored personally by Daniel Speck. They are not presented on behalf of any particular church, ministry, or group nor are the teachings of any particular organization reflected in these articles. These articles may not be error free, and they may be subject to small corrections from time to time, but I believe that the major conclusions here are fundamentally sound and conform to the Word of God. Examine the Scriptures for yourself and see if these things are so. Any sincere comments and criticisms, as well as typo or factual corrections, are welcome.
The purpose of this publication is to:
Where I stand on basic beliefs:
Popular teachings rejected as erroneous and harmful:
Requirement for Salvation
The single requirement for salvation is a moment of faith in Jesus Christ as Son of God and Savior who was crucified for our sins and raised from the dead; producing at that instant a new birth through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Absolutely nothing we can ever do or not do can further or hinder the eternal life, imputed righteousness and assurance of salvation we received as a free gift at that moment of simple faith in Jesus. There is only one Gospel: Salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and anyone who preaches a different gospel is accursed.
Authority, Doctrine, and Teaching
All teachings of doctrine, practice, and prophecy are to come exclusively from the written Word of God. No system of theology or church dogma, however popular or consummate, should be used as a filter through which the written Word of God is understood and applied.
Correct understanding of the Holy Scriptures (exegesis) must be by a literal interpretation of the text, understood within each book’s context, as well as the context of the entirely of Scripture; along with the proper use of parables and prophetic types. Miraculous and prophetic descriptions are understood as symbolic only when the context makes it clear that they cannot be otherwise.
Revelation 22:18-
All modern claimants to any office of prophet, apostle, authority, or to any special revelation, anointing, or exclusive teachings are soundly rejected as unbiblical and heretical.
The counsel of the Holy Spirit and His Spiritual gifts are acknowledged and indeed
necessary to arrive at an accurate understanding of the prophetic Word. You must
be born-
The scholarship and contributions to sound doctrine defense and prophetic discernment of the many gifted saints down through the centuries are gratefully acknowledged.
No disagreement with any ministry on a specific teaching should automatically be considered a condemnation of that ministry, unless the fundamental doctrines of the Evangelical Faith are denied.
I welcome the fellowship of all born-
“To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” Revelation 5:13
